Like usual, this was an amazing show at the Walker, with incredible and unique pieces.
Here are some of my favorites:
casey sheppard (is it bone? aged wood? nope, hand-sanded PVC pipe!)
beth novak (sea creatures, machinery and enamel)
kristin lora (rubber toys, whimsy and clever class)
grace hogan (stones and silver, simplicity and kinetics)
félixe carole dicaire (feathers, wire and innovation)
jennifer merchant (repurposed corian countertop)
Oooh I so want to take a jewelry making class! These are fantastic.
I was inspired, too! Especially the sanded PVC stuff that looks like bone- awesome!! Been playing a bit with jewelry. Mostly taking old stuff apart and also Shrinkies. Bought some resin things, too.
