When I arrived in Jackson, the second thing I did (after a photo by the antler arch) was hustle to my favorite gallery in J Hole- the Tayloe Piggott Gallery. Last time I was surprised and delighted to see new work by an early influence of mine, the Starn Twins. This time I was thrilled to find altered book (yesss!) installation pieces by Lisa Kokin and collage by Lance Letscher. In the morning I discovered the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts and was thrilled to discover some delicate-lined drawings from Brazilian artist Thais Beltrami. It feels good to be inspired.
